Listening exercise for Doddington Hospital must be sensitively actioned

5.35.52pm GMT Tue 25th Nov 2008

Cambridgeshire Liberal Democrats have responded to the Cambs PCT "Listening Exercise" on Doddington Hospital. It is clear that a great deal of work remains to be done in the next few months if the people of Fenland are to be re-assured that Doddington has a secure future.

The Cambs Lib Dem Health Spokesman, Cllr Geoff Heathcock, said "Many issues need a more detailed response: what will the future staffing needs be in order to meet future growth? What determination will be applied in the provision of extra care housing? Most critically of all, what will be done to improve transport access to the Hospital site?

We will be watching this closely in the next few months.'
