Chettisham Meadow Appeal

9.39.01pm BST (GMT +0100) Thu 16th Oct 2008

The Wildlife Trust wants to buy Chettisham meadow, which contains some of Britain's most endangered plants, including cowslip and green-wing orchids, for £18,000 and turn it into a nature reserve.

County Councillor Nigel Bell said: "Chettisham Meadow is a attractive example of what was once a commonplace sight in the English countryside. I hope people will back this appeal to save an important and disappearing habitat."

To donate to the appeal, write to The Wildlife Trust, The Manor House, Broad Street, Great Cambourne, Cambridgeshire, CB23 6DH.
