County Councillor John Batchelor reports…

Four of the interactive speed signs on the A1307 were out of action from February following gale damage.

Having pressed for repairs, I discovered the County Council had no maintenance contract - and no one else responsible for them.

The Council then agreed that the traffic light people should take them on.

Then they discovered they had no idea how many such signs they had in the County!

200 they thought.

So far, it's 300 and counting!

We are always told there's no money for improvements to the A1307, so when limited funds are wasted, it's a disgrace.

The Conservatives running the County Council are wasting YOUR money.
