Cambridgeshire Liberal Democrats have welcomed the direction that Children's Health Services are moving but do agree with OFSTED that much more needs to be done to tackle children's mental health services and health promotion issues in the areas of greatest need in Fenland, on the Oxmoor and in North Cambridge.
School Nursing levels remain low and must be addressed.
County Health Spokesman Councillor Geoff Heathcock said "Progress is being made but it is absolutely clear that previous priority decisions for funding were not always made in the service user's best interests e.g young mental health service cuts - this must change"
Childrens and Youth Services spokes, Cllr. Gaynor Griffiths said "The welfare of our Children is not an optional extra, they are our future and services must improve."
